Diesel Black Gold Fowly Coat

I have long been a loyal customer of Diesel. Basically, they make clothes that look good on me and appeal to my taste, which is really all you can ask for from a clothing line. I have recently been seriously contemplating my style evolution, and Diesel's new, higher-priced, more-sophisticated line Black Gold appeals to my new sensibility, which will invovle less bright color and more minimalism.

This coat has really caught my eye.

It was originally 800$, but even the sale price of 240$ is too much for me at the moment. Also, I have a sinking feeling that I'd need to be a few inches taller and ten pounds thinner to really pull it off.

Sony VAIO P Series Lifestyle PC

Despite their refusal to call it a netbook, the Sony VAIO P Series Lifestyle PC is still freaking adorable! You could put it in your purse, guys. And it has built-in 3G wifi. Yes, I am not enough of a dork when I take out of my BlackBerry to wiki something in the middle of a conversation; now I need to bust out a machine loaded with Vista. No, I do not often even leave my house, much less travel for a short enough time, often enough that I would have use for a miniature laptop. BUT IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL. My plan: convince my dad, who travels basically every week for business, to buy one. Then when I visit him, I can look at it, and hold it. Maybe sleep with it under my pillow.

Fancies and Goodnights

In the same vein, I also want Fancies and Goodnights John Collier. This is entirely inspired by the rave review it received on Ken Jennings' blog.

Ray Bradbury Book

One of the things I've been meaning to do is to pick up a collection of Ray Bradbury's short stories. My main motivation for wanting to check out Ray Bradbury is that I love the Twilight Zone episodes based on his stories. So yeah, a Best of Ray Bradbury anthology would be nice.

Powershot G10

I've been wanting a new camera for a while as mine doesn't take great pictures and is too bulky to carry around. The Powershot G10 seems like a great compromise between size and performance. But at 499$ list price and currently 412.95$ on amazon, this is a wishes item that will probably stay that way for a long time, at least until I am, um, employed.

iPod Classic--PURCHASED

My over-two-years-old iPod Classic still works. Unfortunately, it does not want to cooperate with my new Windows Vista PC, since it would have to be a)reformatted and b)erased to switch from Mac to Windows. I have an iPod Touch which I adore, since I can play Katamari and look up Russian words and use the internet on it, but with only 32 gb of storage, I would have to be selective about what I put on it. I want a device where I can store all of my digital crap, and for that, I need the iPod Classic.

Suzuki Beane by Sandra Scoppettone

I've wanted this book ever since I heard about it several years ago. It combines two of my favorite literary book characters--Eloise and Harriet M. Welsch. Unfortunately, the book goes for about 200$+ on ebay and amazon.
